1. Appellant/complainant is represented by the learned Advocate.

2. Respondents are present before this Court.

3. In pursuance of the direction passed by this Court dated 20.05.2025 a report is submitted by this Superintendent of Police, Sundarban Police District, South 24 Parganas which indicates that the direction passed by this court has been communicated to the parties.

4. It is said by the learned Advocate for the appellant that the matter in dispute has already been settled outside of the Court and the appellant does not intend to proceed further with this appeal. An affidavit is filed on behalf of the appellant/complainant supporting the contention made by the learned Advocate for the appellant.

5. Let the affidavit regarding settlement filed by the appellant be kept with the record.

6. I have gone through the impugned judgment and order passed by the learned Trial Court dated 22.02.2000 and I find nothing material to interfere in the said judgment.

7. Let the report submitted by the I.C. Raidighi P.S., Sundarban Police District, South 24 Parganas be kept with the record.

8. Accordingly, the instant appeal be and the same is hereby dismissed affirming the impugned judgment and order passed by the Trial Court.

9. The appellant is present before this Court and he is represented by the learned Advocate. As the appellant is represented by the learned Advocate his personal appearance stands dispensed with.

Thus the criminal appeal is hereby disposed of. 11.

Let a copy of this order along with the Trial Court Records be sent down to the Trial Court immediately. 12.
