The petitioner prays for interest on account of delayed payment of the terminal dues. The husband of the petitioner was a primary school teacher. He died in harness on 15th January, 2017 and Pension Payment Order was issued on 3rd April, 2018.

It appears that there is hardly any delay in issuing the Pension Payment Order.

In view of the above, the prayer seeking interest cannot be allowed.

The writ petition fails and is hereby dismissed. Urgent photostat certified copy of this order be supplied to the parties, if applied for, as early as possible.
