Learned counsel appearing for the West Bengal State Electricity Distribution Company Limited (WBSEDCL) submits that the petitioner's request is presently under consideration by WBSEDCL. It is further submitted that the concerned engineer of WBSEDCL attempted to contact the petitioner for the purpose of conducting a site survey, but the petitioner was not available. Counsel for WBSEDCL adds that if the petitioner establishes contact with the concerned engineer, the petitioner's request shall be duly considered upon completion of the survey.

In view of the foregoing, there is no justification to keep this writ petition pending.

The petitioner is directed to meet the concerned engineer of WBSEDCL within a period of seven days from date. Upon such contact, WBSEDCL shall conduct the requisite survey, and the petitioner's application shall thereafter be considered in

accordance with law based on the outcome of the survey.

Accordingly, WPA 15867 of 2025 is disposed of.

Urgent photostat certified copy of this order, if applied for, be supplied to the learned advocates for the parties on usual undertakings.
