... for the State This is an application challenging police in action in investigating a case of cheating and criminal breach of trust started at the behest of the petitioner. Report filed on behalf of the State is taken on record.

Learned counsel appearing on behalf of the petitioner submits that it was the allegation of the petitioner that during pendency of the writ petition a final report has been submitted by the Investigating Agency seeking discharge of the accused.

However, from the report submitted by the State and it annexures it appears that the filing of a final report was contemplated on 21st June, 2023 and it was made ready on 23rd June, 2023. However, the writ petition was affirmed for filing on 5th July, 2023. Therefore, it does not appear that in response to the petitioner filing a writ petition in this regard, a final report was submitted by the Investigating Agency. Now that a final report has been submitted in this regard, the petitioner shall be at liberty to challenge the same by filing a protest petition before the learned original Court.

Therefore, no further order need be passed in this regard.

With these observations, the writ petition is disposed of.
