Report submitted by the learned advocate appearing for the State be kept with the record. The petitioner prays for attachment of salary of the husband as there has been non-payment of maintenance.

State has submitted a report which reflects that petitioner has also prayed for enhancement of the maintenance amount.

Since there are statutory remedies, petitioner be well advised to first advance her prayer before the learned Magistrate and if aggrieved, approach the revisional courts for exercising the supervisory jurisdiction. This Court cannot as an original Court invoke the provisions of Article 226 of the Constitution of India in cases where statutory remedies are available.

With the aforesaid observations, the writ petition being WPA 16101 of 2025 is disposed of. There will be no order as to costs.
