The petitioner alleges that the representation filed before the Executive Engineer (Water Supply) has not been considered and disposed of till date. Learned advocate representing the Kolkata Municipal Corporation submits that for obtaining water supply connection, application is required to be made in the prescribed form through the licensed plumber of the Corporation.

From the submission made on behalf of the parties it appears that the petitioner is yet to make any formal application in the prescribed form through the licensed plumber of the Corporation.

In view of the above, the writ petition is disposed by granting liberty to the petitioner to file appropriate

application for obtaining water supply in accordance with law.

In the event such application is made, the same shall be considered by the concerned authority of the K.M.C.

The writ petition is disposed of.

Urgent certified photocopy of this order, if applied for, be supplied to the parties expeditiously on compliance of usual legal formalities.
