It is submitted on behalf of the petitioner and the respondent authorities that due to the joint efforts of the parties and their advisors, the parties have arrived at an out of Court settlement. The respondent authorities relied on the Minutes of 207th Meeting of the Council of Bose Institute held on July 4, 2024.

By consent of the parties and in view of the nature of disputes between the parties, WPA No. 16131 of 2023 stands disposed of by recording that the writ petitioner shall withdraw his writ petition and the respondent authorities shall correspondingly quash the show cause notices dated May 12, 2023 and June 6, 2023 respectively.

Keeping in view that the writ petitioner is a Senior Professor and a Scientist by profession,

the petitioner undertakes not to malign the reputation of the Institution in any public fora. The petitioner also undertakes not to indulge in provoking the students to malign or denigrate the reputation of the Institute or cause any harm to the Institute either directly or indirectly. The petitioner shall also maintain the integrity of the Institution where he serves and follow the CCS (Conduct) Rules, 1964. The Institute shall also not directly or indirectly attempt to target the petitioner at a personal and professional level. It is expected that both the parties will act in the best interests of the Institute.

Both the communications dated July 19, 2024 issued by the petitioner and the Minutes of the 207th Meeting of the Institute respectively be kept with the records.

A copy of the minutes is handed over to the petitioner.

In view of the above, WPA No. 16131 of 2023 stands disposed of.
