Learned counsel appearing for the petitioners submits that the petitioners pray for adequate police security to the petitioners and their family members and also for a direction upon the Officer-in-Charge of Bhabanipur Police Station, P.O. - Debhog, District - Purba Medinipur to make necessary arrangements so that the petitioners and their family members can reside at their houses peacefully.

Learned counsel appearing for the State submits that it is duty of the State to maintain peace and give protection to the citizens of the State.

Learned counsel appearing for the private respondents is present.

The Officer-in-Charge of Bhabanipur Police Station, P.O. - Debhog, District - Purba Medinipur is requested

that he shall ensure that no harm is caused to the petitioners or their family members and peace and tranquility prevails in the locality. In the event of any harm is caused to petitioners or their family members or their properties or houses, the petitioners are also requested to make complaint before the concerned police authority who upon receipt of the same shall make endeavour to redress the same.

The Writ Petition being WPA 17040 of 2024 is disposed of.

There shall be no order as to costs.
