The writ application has been preferred praying for expeditious disposal of the Certificate Case No. 42 of 2021 (arising out of Gratuity Case No. 07/G/2019 ), now pending before the Certificate Officer, Chandernagore, Hooghly.

It appears that the certificate case was registered in the year 2021 on a notice issued by the Controlling Authority.

It is submitted by the learned counsel for the petitioner that since

then there has been no progress in the said certificate proceedings.

The State is being represented.

It appears from the materials on record that the last order was passed by the Certificate Officer, Chandernagore, Hooghly was on 26.7.2023. For the last two years there has been no action on the part of the Certificate Officer in spite of several representations filed on behalf of the petitioner.

Considering the said fact, the writ application is disposed of with the direction that the Certificate Officer shall complete the proceedings in this case within 60 days from the date of this order.

Let a copy of the this order be sent to the District Magistrate and Collector, Hooghly who shall supervise and ensure that the certificate proceedings is disposed of within the time frame in accordance with law as directed.

WPA 16016 of 2025 stands disposed of.

Parties are at liberty to communicate the server copy of this order.

Urgent Photostat certified copy of this order, if applied for, be given to the learned counsel for the parties on usual undertakings.
