IN THE HIGH COURT AT CALCUTTA

Special Jurisdiction Appellate Side CPAN No.1336 of 2002 Pijush Kanti Biswas -vsSri Hari Krishna Dwivedi & Ors.

arising out of WPA No.15532 of 2001 None ...for the petitioner None appears to press the contempt application on call.

By way of this contempt application under the Contempt of Courts Act, 1971, the petitioner has sought for punishment of the contemners/respondents concerned in the writ petition for violation of an order dated October 15, 2001 passed in WP No.15532(W) of 2001.

While the application was affirmed on September 24, 2002, the applicant was then about 64 years old, and now, if he is alive, he is about 84 years of age.

Since filing of the contempt application, none moved to press it.

I feel that the petitioner is no longer interested to proceed with the application on hand.

Accordingly, the contempt application stands dismissed for non-appearance of the petitioner. [Rabindranath Samanta, J]
