By way of this contempt application under the Contempt of Courts Act, 1971, the petitioners have sought for punishment of the contemners/respondents concerned in the writ petition for violation of an order dated March 26, 2002 passed in WP No.3244(W) of 2002.

While the application was affirmed on October 3, 2002, the first applicant was then about 39 years old. Since filing of the contempt application, none moved to press it.

I feel that the petitioners are no longer interested to proceed with the application on hand.

Accordingly, the contempt application stands dismissed for non-appearance of the petitioners. [Rabindranath Samanta, J]
