Mr. A Ganguly ...... for the petitioner Mr. P P Das Ms. Manasi Roy ...... for the State We have considered materials on record. Statements of witnesses show the housewife was tortured by the petitioner. She suffered extensive burn injuries within one year of marriage and died.

In view of the aforesaid materials on record and the fact that bail prayer of the petitioner was rejected in August 2021 and there is hardly any change in circumstance since then, we are not inclined to grant bail to the petitioner at this stage.
