Pursuant to the earlier direction passed by this Court, police authorities have taken steps and Canning P.S. Case No.856 of 2024 dated 19.12.2024 has been registered for investigation.

Police authorities are ascertaining regarding the correctness of the accusations and to that extent has sent requisition to the BL & LRO, Canning and ADSR Matla, Canning. Police authorities have also kept a strict vigil so far as it relates to law and order situation.

In view of the steps taken by the police authorities, the purpose for which the writ petition has been submitted has been sub-served.

Accordingly, WPA 17070 of 2024 is disposed of. There will be no order as to costs.

A copy of the report without enclosures or annexure be handed over to the learned advocate appearing for the petitioner.

Report submitted by the State be kept with the record.

All parties shall act on the server copy of this order duly downloaded from the official website of this Court.

Urgent photostat certified copies of this order, if applied for, be given to the parties upon compliance of all requisite formalities.
