Supplementary Affidavit and Affidavit of Service filed in Court are taken on record.

It is submitted on behalf of the State respondent that pursuant to the filing of the writ petition, the petitioner has been paid the entire gratuity amount.

In so far as the prayer for compassionate appointment is concerned, by a communication dated July 9, 2024 the concerned Block Development Officer (BDO) is directed to file an application in a prescribed format.

In view of the above, the writ petition has become infructuous for all practical purposes. WPA 17092 of 2024 stands disposed of by directing the concerned BDO to act in accordance with law and take the proceedings pending to their logical conclusion.

Liberty is granted to the petitioner to file a fresh application in so far as the prayer for compassionate appointment and Group

Insurance are concerned in accordance with law, if so advised and if the circumstances so warrants.
