The petitioner has approached this Court for release. It has been pointed out by Mr. Banerjee, learned AGP appearing for the State that no representation has been made to the appropriate authorities in respect of detention of the petitioner. I have considered the enclosures annexed with this writ petition which do not reflect whether at all any authority was informed and/or any representation made to the appropriate authorities for release of the petitioner. As such, without going into the merits of the case, I grant liberty to the petitioner to file representation before the appropriate authorities. The concerned authorities would consider the representation in accordance with law.

With the aforesaid observations, the writ petition being WPA 17098 of 2024 is disposed of. There will be no order as to costs.

All concerned parties shall act on the server copy of this order duly downloaded from the official website of this Court.
