The petitioner renews his prayer for bail which was rejected earlier by a co-ordinate Bench by an order dated October 19, 2023, passed in CRM (NDPS) 1731 of 2023. Learned Advocate for the petitioner says that till date not a single witness has been examined. The petitioner is in custody for more than two years.
Ten thousand bottles of phensedyl syrup containing codeine phosphate was allegedly seized from the accused persons. Another accused person approached a co-ordinate Bench praying for bail by filing CRM (NDPS) 231 of 2024. While rejecting that prayer, the co-ordinate Bench, by an order dated Signed By :

February 6, 2024, directed the Trial Court to conclude the trial by fixing schedules at short intervals and conclude the same at an early date preferably within one year from the next date fixed for recording of evidence, without granting unnecessary adjournment to either of the parties.
Therefore, we see that the co-ordinate Bench had directed the learned Trial Court to conclude the trial within February/March, 2025. Hence, we are not inclined to entertain the present prayer for bail.
CRM (NDPS) 1066 of 2024 is dismissed.
