The petitioner complains of alleged inaction by Jadavpur Police Station in respect of a complaint against the private respondents.

Counsel for the State, Mrs. Chama Mookherjee, submits that Jadavpur Police Station Case No. 91 of dated 22.04.2022 under Sections 341/323/427/506/114 of the Indian Penal Code have been registered against four persons, who are on bail. She further submits that statements under Section 161 of the Code of Criminal Procedure have been recorded and charge-sheet No. 142 dated 28th June, 2022 has been submitted.

This Court, therefore, finds no inaction on the part of the Jadavpur Police Station.

Counsel for the petitioner, however, submits that the private respondents continue to harass the petitioner's daughter and cause regular nuisance, inter alia, on the body of the petitioner.

In those circumstances, Jadavpur Police Station shall post a police constable for a period of two weeks from date, at the petitioner's residence. Costs of such posting shall be borne by the petitioner upon the same being communicated to him by the Jadavpur Police Station.

Report in the form of instructions of the Officerin-charge, Jadavpur Police Station dated 2nd August, 2022 addressed to the State Advocate be taken on record.

With the aforesaid directions, the instant writ petition shall stand disposed of.

There will be no order as to costs.
