The petitioner is an employee under Purba Burdwan Zilla Regulated Market Committee. The petitioner says that he is entitled to the Career Advancement Scheme, in short, CAS which is prevalent in his employer's association. The petitioner has not been given such benefit. The petitioner has made a representation to this effect to the Chairman and the Secretary, Purba Burdwan Zilla Regulated Market Committee on 11th March, 2024.

After hearing the parties and considering the materials on record, I find that justice would be subserved if I direct the District Magistrate, District Purba Burdwan, who is also the Chairman of the Purba Burdwan Zilla Regulated Market Committee to decide the petitioner's grievance as ventilated in the

representation dated 11th March, 2024 by passing a reasoned order after affording the petitioner an opportunity of hearing. The entire exercise should be completed within a period of four months from the date of communication of a server copy of this order without insisting upon the production of a certified copy thereof. The reasoned order shall be forthwith communicated to the petitioner.

It is made clear that I have not been gone into the merits of the matter and the Authority concerned shall be free to decide each of the issues raised in the representation dated 11th March, 2024 independently and without being influenced by any observation made in this order.

Nothing further remains to be adjudicated in this writ petition.

The writ petition is accordingly disposed of without any order as to costs.

Since I have not called for an affidavit the allegations contained in the writ petition are deemed not to have been admitted by the respondents. Urgent Photostat certified copy of this order, if applied for, be given to the parties, upon compliance of necessary formalities.
