jdt CRR 2750 of 2024 In Re : Barun Das Mr. Shibaji Kr. Das .... For the Petitioner Since the innocuous prayer of the petitioner who is an accused in SC no. 2 of 2010 pending before the learned Additional Sessions Judge, Fast Track, 1st Court, Barrackpore, North 24 Parganas is for expeditious disposal of the matter, the matter may be disposed of without service of notice upon the opposite parties. The opposite parties shall not be prejudiced by order directing expeditious disposal of the case.

Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that though the complaint was registered on 15th January, 2009, charge has not been framed till date.

Public Prosecutor has not been appointed in the matter. It is however submitted that next date fixed by the learned trial Court is on 5th September, 2024.

In view of the above and considering the age of the proceeding, the learned Legal Remembrancer, Government of West Bengal is requested to take necessary steps for appointment of Public Prosecutor in the said matter prior to the next date of hearing fixed before the learned trial Court.

Upon such appointment being made, the learned trial Court shall make all endeavours to dispose of the proceedings as expeditiously as possible without granting any unnecessary adjournment to either of the parties, in accordance with law. The revisional application being CRR 2750 of 2024 is disposed of.

Urgent certified website copy of this order, if applied for, be supplied to the parties upon compliance with all requisite formalities.
