It appears from the records that the petitioner has been charged with forging the signature of the Pradhan of the Gram Panchayat for the purpose of availing the Dware Sarkar benefit of the Government of West Bengal.

Counsel for the State submits that the investigation is still on.

In that view of the matter, the application for bail of the petitioner stands rejected at this stage. It is, however, ordered that the investigation be completed as expeditiously as possibly, preferably within a period of four months from the date of communication of a copy of this order and the final report may be submitted to the Jurisdictional Magistrate.
