The petitioner is aggrieved by the fact that the information which was furnished to the Officerin-Charge, Raghunathpur Police Station, Purulia dated 16.12.2023 and also on 19.03.2024 were not addressed by the said Officer-in-Charge or the superior officers of police. Being aggrieved by such act and action of the police authorities, petitioner approached this Court.

Learned advocate appearing for the State has placed the case diary which reflects that earlier Raghunathpur Police Station Case No. 29/2024 dated 12.03.2024 was registered for investigation under the relevant sections of criminal breach of trust, forgery and cheating as also destruction of evidence.

The complaint which was advanced by the present petitioner was tagged with the said case as a part of the accusation was already a subjectmatter of the letter of complaint which was

addressed to the Officer-in-Charge and has been investigated in connection with Raghunathpur Police Station Case No. 29/2024.

Learned advocate appearing for the private respondent no.4 also submits that a case has already been registered, as such the writ petition has no merit.

Be that as it may, since the police authorities have commenced the investigation, they would take the investigation to its logical conclusion by putting efforts within a reasonable period of time.

With the aforesaid observations, the writ petition being WPA 17226 of 2024 is disposed of. There will be no order as to costs.

Case diary be returned to the learned advocate appearing for the State.
