The petitioner who is an accused in G.R. case no. 833 of 2018 before the learned Additional Chief Judicial Magistrate, Sealdah seeks quashing of orders dated 9th June, 2022 and 5th September, 2022 directing issuance of warrant of arrest against him. The petitioner undertakes to surrender before the learned Magistrate within two weeks from date.

In view of the above, the revisional application, being CRR 2755 of 2024 is disposed directing the petitioner to surrender before the learned Additional Chief Judicial Magistrate, Sealdah within two weeks from date. If the petitioner surrenders before the learned Magistrate and files an application for bail, the learned Magistrate shall deal with the same in accordance with law. In the event the petitioner fails to surrender before the learned Magistrate within the stipulated time frame, the learned Magistrate shall be at liberty to take necessary steps against the petitioner, in accordance with law, without further reference to this Court. Warrant of arrest issued vide orders dated 9th June, 2022 and 5th September, 2022 respectively be stayed till 20th September, 2024.
