Heard the learned Advocates appearing for the parties. Petitioner is in custody for about 122 days. It is submitted he has been falsely implicated in the instant case. Learned Advocate for the State opposes the prayer for bail.

We have considered the materials on record including the statement of the victim and the medical report. Petitioner is named in the FIR and the medical papers as the person who along with others tried to set the victim housewife on fire. In view of the aforesaid incriminating materials on record and gravity of the offence, we are not inclined to grant bail to the petitioner.

Accordingly, the prayer for bail of the petitioner is rejected at this stage.
