... For the State The application for bail is made on the ground that the petitioner is 72 years of age. It is also submitted that bail has been granted to another accused and three persons are absconding even as on date.

Counsel for the State submits that the petitioner has been absconding since 2016 and was apprehended only in August 2021. Given the conduct of the petitioner, this Court is not inclined to grant bail, notwithstanding the age of the petitioner. This Court does not see any infirmity in the order dated 28th September 2021 passed by the Learned Sessions Judge, Nadia. The application for bail being CRM 6989 of 2021 is rejected.
