Learned advocate representing the Bank produces a copy of the letter dated 3rd March, 2025 addressed to the Ministry of Finance seeking clarification with regard to the present status of the current account of the petitioner.

There is no response from the end of the Ministry.

The petitioner has already placed on record the order dated 18th April, 2023 passed by the Special Judge (PC Act) (CBI-20), RADC/New Delhi in RC No. 26/E/2016/CBI-EO-III mentioning that no incriminating material has been found to attract any criminal offence against the bank account of the petitioner. The petitioner's bank account remains frozen till date.

Prayer has been made to defreeze the same.

As it appears that there is no record or order from any competent judicial forum with the respondent

bank to continue with the order of freezing, accordingly, the bank is directed to take steps to defreeze the bank account of the petitioner at the earliest but positively within a period of two weeks from the date of communication of this order.

6. The writ petition along with the connected application being CAN 1 of 2024 stand disposed of.

7. Urgent photostat certified copy of this order, if applied for, be supplied to the parties upon compliance of all the requisite formalities.
