Since the innocuous prayer of the petitioners is for expeditious disposal of G.R. 518 of 2019 pending before the learned Judicial Magistrate, 1st Court, Howrah, the matter may be taken up for consideration without service of notice upon the opposite party. The opposite party shall not be prejudiced by an order directing expeditious disposal of the case.

This Court is informed that though charge sheet was submitted on 16th July, 2019, copies of documents under Section 207 of the Code of Criminal Procedure are yet to be supplied.

In view of the above, the learned trial Court is directed to take the proceeding to its logical conclusion within one year from the next date of hearing fixed before him, without granting any unnecessary adjournment to either of the parties, in accordance with law. CRR 2758 of 2024 is disposed of.
