... For the State The application for bail is made on the ground that Section 42(1) of the NDPS Act has not been complied with. Counsel for the State submits that the said Section is not applicable, since 10 litres of codeine mixture was recovered from the possession of the petitioner in a public place and broad daylight. Charge-sheet has already been submitted.

In that view of the matter, the application for bail shall stand rejected.

However, it is directed that the Court below shall complete the trial within the period specified in the Statute. The application for bail being CRM 6998 of 2021 is rejected. (Rajasekhar Mantha, J.) (Kesang Doma Bhutia, J.)
