The petitioners are working as primary teachers in their respective schools situated in two different districts. Although they submitted applications for mutual transfer through then respective District Primary School Council, being respondent no.9 and 10, the said respondents failed to forward the application to the West Bengal Board of Primary Education being respondent no.4 in this application.

It is submitted that both the petitioners are confirmed primary teachers and they have made applied for mutual transfer..

The decision was not taken primarily because the respective District Primary School Councils, did

not forward the applications to the West Bengal Board of Primary Education.

Upon consideration of the submissions made on behalf of the parties and taking note of the documents placed before this Court, it appears that the mutual transfer application of the petitioners are pending before the respective District Primary School Councils.

The District Primary School Councils, are directed to forward the petitioners' applications to the West Bengal Board of Primary Education being the respondent no.4 herein. The respondent no.4 is requested to consider the applications of the petitioners at the earliest, preferably within eight weeks from the date of communication of this order and the decision shall be communicated within a fortnight thereafter.

The Writ petition being WPA 16189 of 2025 is accordingly disposed of.

There will be no order as to costs.

All parties shall act on the server copy of this order duly downloaded from the official website of this Court.
