...for the State The petitioner has approached this Court for a direction to expedite the investigation in connection with Dum Dum Police Station Case No. 1119/21 dated 09.10.2021.

Mr. Dutta, learned Advocate appears for the State and submits that the investigation in connection with the Dum Dum Police Station Case No. 1119/21 dated 09.10.2021 under Sections 341/323/325/326/307/506/34 of the Indian Penal Code and Sections 25/27 of the Arms Act is going on and two of the FIR named alleged accused persons have already been arrested. The grievance of the petitioner is that the other FIR named accused persons are threatening the petitioner of dire consequences.

Mr. Dutta submits that other FIR named alleged accused persons are absconding.

The writ petition being, WPA 17429 of 2021 is disposed

of by directing the concerned Investigating Agency to conclude the investigation as expeditiously as possible. It is expected that the Police authorities shall ensure that no breach of peace takes place in the locale and steps shall be taken for protection of the life of the petitioner.
