The petitioner alleges that the Axis Bank, Halisahar Branch, had frozen the Account No.

919020016448963 and did not allow the petitioner, who claims to be the principal of an institution, to operate the said bank account. The bank authorities informed the petitioner that the account was made inoperative on the basis of a letter received from Cyber Crime Police Station of Gurugram dated September 22, 2021.

As such, this court does not find any reason as to why the petitioner has approached this court under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, alleging overt act of the police when the police authorities of West Bengal are not involved in the action of the bank. Cyber Crime Police Station of Gurugram is not amenable to the writ jurisdiction of this court.

It appears that the bank had written a letter dated September 29, 2021 to Flying Air Service, i.e.

the institution of which the petitioner claims to be the principal. The institute was informed that the Cyber Crime Police Station of Gurugram by a letter had asked the bank to attach the bank account of the institute.

The writ petition is disposed of without any orders.

There shall be no order as to costs.
