Petitioner complains that he was illegally taken from his office on 17.04.2025 at 8.50 p.m and detained for three hours by the officers of Jorabagan Police Station. To that effect, information was furnished regarding such atrocity of the police officers to the superior officers of Kolkata Police. However, no action has been taken.

State has produced the case diary. Case diary reflects that on the basis of statement of one of the accused, the present petitioner was taken to the police station as the said accused in course of investigation made statements which could have led

to further discovery of materials for the benefit of the investigation.

Be that as it may, since the investigation is in progress, at this stage, the Court refrains from making any comments. However, the petitioner would be at liberty to canvass the issue relating to his harassment, if any, after the charge-sheet is submitted before the jurisdictional court.

With the aforesaid observations, WPA 16206 of 2025 is disposed of.

There will be no order as to costs.

Report submitted by the State be kept with the record.

Urgent photostat certified copies of this order, if applied for, be given to the parties upon compliance of all requisite formalities.
