Learned advocate appearing for the petitioner contends that, the petitioner is not the principal accused. Learned advocate appearing for the State submits that, the petitioner is absconding for about a year. The police filed charge-sheet. He refers to the statement recorded under Section 164 of the Code of Criminal Procedure (Cr.P.C.) implicating the petitioner. There are materials in the case diary implicating the petitioner.

That apart, there is long absconsion by the petitioner. In such circumstances, we are unable to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioner.

Accordingly, prayer for anticipatory bail of the petitioner is rejected and the application being CRM (A) 3605 of 2022 is dismissed.
