1. The petitioners are aggrieved by the act of Life Insurance Corporation of India (LICI) in repudiating the claim in respect of three policies.

2. It has been submitted that the husband of the petitioner no. 1 and the father of the petitioner no. 2 expired in the year 2006 but the petitioners got information of the subject policies very recently.

3. Upon hearing the parties and on perusal of the documents annexed to the writ petition, it appears that there is nothing on record to suggest that the petitioners approached LICI with their claim prior to approaching the Constitutional Court seeking for issuance of a writ of Mandamus.

4. In view of the above, no relief can be granted to the petitioners in the instant case.

5. In the event the petitioners approach LICI with their claim, the same shall be considered by the competent authority of LICI in accordance with law at the earliest.

6. The writ petition stands disposed of.

7. Urgent certified photocopy of this order, if applied for, be supplied to the parties expeditiously on compliance of usual legal formalities.
