The present revisional application has been preferred for expeditious disposal of the proceedings being AC Case No. 312 of 2022 which is pending before the learned Judicial Magistrate, 8th Court, Alipore under relevant provision of the Protection of Women from Domestic Violence Act, 2005. The grievance of the petitioner is that she preferred the application under Section 12 of the Protection of Women from Domestic Violence Act on 04.02.2022 and till date there has been no progress of the case except exchange of affidavits which is proceeding.

Having regard to the purpose for which the provisions of the Protection of Women from Domestic Violence Act were enacted, I direct the learned Judicial Magistrate to consider the prayer of the petitioner as early as possible particularly, with regard to the monetary relief as claimed in the application. Let the issue relating to monetary claim be decided within a period of three months from the date of communication of the order. Rest of the proceedings would progress according to the convenience of the learned court, but efforts be taken to complete the same by 31st July, 2025.

With the aforesaid observations, the revisional application being CRR 2534 of 2023 is disposed of. Pending connected application, if any, is consequently disposed of.

All concerned parties shall act on the server copy of this order duly downloaded from the official website of this Court.

Urgent photostat certified copy of this order, if applied for, be supplied to the parties upon compliance with all requisite formalities.
