Learned advocate appearing for the State opposes the prayer for anticipatory bail.

We have considered the materials on record including the statements of witnesses which show that the victim-housewife, who was a minor, was pressurised for bringing money from her relations. Consequently, she committed suicide. In view of the gravity of the offence and the prima facie involvement of the petitioner in the alleged crime, we are of the opinion that this is not a fit case to grant anticipatory bail to her.

Accordingly, the prayer for anticipatory bail of the petitioner stands rejected.
