...... for the petitioner Mr. Swapan Banerjee Mr. Suman De ...... for the State We have considered statements of the witnesses, prima facie disclosing involvement of the petitioner in assaulting his mother on various occasions and on the fateful day, the petitioner assaulted his mother brutally, resulting in her death.

In view of the aforesaid facts and circumstances, particularly the gravity of offence, we are not inclined to grant bail to the petitioner.
