The petitioner and the Controlling Authority being the respondent no.2 are represented.

The petitioner complains that he has been deprived of his gratuity by the employer (respondent no.3) after superannuation. The petitioner filed an application before the respondent no.2 for redressal of his grievance on 13th February, 2014, but the said application is still pending. Evidence of the petitioner was concluded on 30th June, 2015 and the matter is pending for evidence of the private respondent since then. The petitioner prays for a direction upon the respondent no.2 for expeditious disposal of the matter. Having considered the submissions made on behalf of the parties and material on record, I dispose of the writ petition with a direction upon the respondent no.2 to dispose of the matter on merit within a period of two months from the date of communication of this order, in accordance with law.

With such observation, WPA 17441 of 2021 is disposed of. However, there shall be no order as to costs.

Since no affidavits are invited, the allegations contained in the petition are deemed not to be admitted.
