The petitioner is in custody for 4 years. He submits that there is a slow progress of the case.

Learned lawyer for the State submits that the trial is at its fag end and date has been fixed for examination of the investigating officer.

We have considered the materials on record and there are materials prima facie disclosing involvement of the petitioner in the alleged crime. The trial is at its fag end. In such circumstances, we are not inclined to grant bail to the petitioner. However, trial court is directed to expedite the trial and conclude the same at an early date preferably within 3 months from the next date fixed for recording evidence without granting adjournment to either of the parties.
