The grievance of the petitioner is that following his superannuation from the Calcutta Jute Manufacturing Company Limited (respondent no.3) his gratuity was computed by the Controlling Authority. The respondent no.3 preferred an appeal against the said computation before the respondent no.2 on 25th April, 2018 which is still pending. The petitioner prays for expeditious disposal of the said appeal by the respondent no.2.
Having considered the submissions made on behalf of the parties and material on record, I dispose of the writ petition with a direction upon the respondent no.2 to dispose of the appeal being GRA04/18 filed by the private respondent no.3 within a period of two months from the date of communication of this order, in accordance with law.
With such observation, WPA 17442 of 2021 is disposed of. However, there shall be no order as to costs.
Since no affidavits are invited, the allegations contained in the petition are deemed not to be admitted.
