1. The petitioner is the husband.

2. Pursuant to earlier direction, the IO has produced the statement of the victim recorded under Section 161 Cr.P.C.

3. It appears from the statement that in the proceeding initiated under the Protection of Women from Domestic Violence Act, 2005, the husband has given certain undertaking and the wife has taken a lenient view with regard to the alleged offence.

4. Considering the fact that charge-sheet has already been filed and the parties are living peacefully now, we are inclined to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioner. Signed By :

5. Accordingly, we direct that in the event of arrest, the petitioner (Nabeel Ahmed Kaleem) shall be released on bail upon furnishing a bond of Rs. 5,000/- with two registered sureties of like amount, to the satisfaction of the arresting officer and subject to the conditions as laid down under Section 438(2) of the Code of Criminal Procedure, 1973, corresponding to Section 482(2) of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita, 2023.

6. The petitioner shall appear before the learned Metropolitan Magistrate, 20th Court at Calcutta within two weeks and shall appear before him on each and every date of trial.

7. Accordingly, the application for anticipatory bail is allowed.
