The instant writ petition is preferred for issuance of necessary direction upon the respondent authority to allow the petitioner to exercise his option to switch over from contributory provident fund to general provident fund under the Pension Regulations 1990 of the corporation. The petitioner was aged about 58 years at the time of filing writ petition. Now, six years has already been elapsed, the petitioner must have superannuated from his service. However, the petitioner is not attending the Court on regular occasion.

Considering the same, it appears that the petitioner is not interested to proceed with this matter. Accordingly, the instant writ petition is dismissed for default.

Any interim order passed by this Court on the earlier occasion is hereby vacated.
