....For the State We have considered the materials on record. Statements of witnesses show that there was a quarrel resulting in assault of the victim. The natures of injuries do not appear to be grievous.

In view of the aforesaid facts, we are of the view that the custodial interrogation of the petitioner may not be necessary and the petitioner may be granted anticipatory bail.

Accordingly, we direct that in the event of arrest the petitioner shall be released on bail upon furnishing bond of Rs.10,000/-, with two sureties of like amount each, to the satisfaction of the arresting officer and subject to the conditions as laid down under Section 438(2) of the Code of Criminal Procedure, 1973.

The application for anticipatory bail is, thus, disposed of. All concerned parties shall act in terms of the copy of the order downloaded from the official website of this Court. (Bivas Pattanayak, J.) (Joymalya Bagchi, J.)
