Commercial quantity of ganja was recovered from the joint possession of seven accused persons including these petitioners.

In view of the restrictions in Section 37 of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act, 1985, we are not inclined to entertain the prayer of the petitioners for bail. The application being CRM (NDPS) 1083 of 2024 is accordingly dismissed.

The petitioners say that they are in custody for 257 days. Charge has not yet been considered.

We request the learned Trial Court to expedite the trial to the extent possible and conclude the same at the earliest. This order is to be communicated to the learned Trial Court by both the parties.
