The petitioners are aggrieved by that fact that despite having received the contract dated 13th July, 2021 for Maintenance of Police Traffic Control Booth (Manual and Assistance) in Murshidabad Police District, they have not been allowed to work and third parties are executing the said job.

The petitioners had addressed a communication to the Superintendent of Police, Murshidabad on 24th July, 2021 in this regard.

Counsel for the State submits that the petitioners'

engagement was terminated on 7th December, 2020, pursuant whereof all the documents in connection with the work order to the petitioners were returned on 27th July, 2021. He further submits that the work has been allotted to a third person, one M/s. INCODA.

This Court is of the view that the petitioners' grievance now moves into the realm of private contract and for violation thereof, civil remedy may be sought. The instant writ petition is, therefore, disposed of, without any further order.

The instructions of the Superintendent of Police, Murshidabad P.D.

dated 23rd November, addressed to the State Advocate are taken on record. There will be no order as to costs.
