The appellant is aggrieved by order dated 3rd July, 2014 passed by a Single Bench of this Court in refusing interim order.

The subject matter of the writ petition is a policy decision adopted by the LIC, seeking to terminate services of the employee, for failure to achieve targets. 3.

Several writ petitions have been moved before this Court and various High Courts of this Country and are pending adjudication.

It is submitted by the learned counsel for the LIC that a Division Bench of the Allahabad High Court has upheld the legality of the policy decision of the LIC in a detail judgment. It is, however, submitted that the said decision is pending challenge before the Hon'ble Supreme Court. The Calcutta High Court has not till

date pronounced finally upon the writ petitions filed by the employees of the LIC challenging the policy in question.

In view of the above, interim order passed on 4th July, 2014 is confirmed until disposal of the writ petition before the Single Bench.

The respondent LIC may file affidavit-inopposition, if not already filed, within a period of 3 weeks from date. Reply, if any, be filed within a period of 2 weeks thereafter. The matter may be finally heard before the Hon'ble Single Bench.

In view of the above, nothing further remains to be decided in the instant appeal.

AST 286 of 2014 shall stand disposed of. Consequently, CAN 1 of 2015 shall also stand disposed of.

There shall be no order as to costs.
