The revisional application was preferred for expeditious disposal of Basirhat Police Station Case No.103 of 2020 dated 23.01.2020.

Mr. Begg, learned advocate, who ordinarily appears on behalf of the State, is directed to represent the State. His appearance may be regularised by the concerned authorities. Records reflect that the petitioner was arrested on 23rd January, 2020, charge-sheet was submitted on 11th December, 2020 and charge was framed on 15th September, 2021. The present revisional application appeared on 12th June, 2023. However, I find no persuasion on behalf of the petitioner so far as the present revisional application is concerned. I have considered the enclosure relating to the order-sheets which have been attached to the revisional application and I find the stage at which the petitioner approached this Court, there were dates fixed for evidence in the month of July, 2022.

Having regard to the fact that the petitioner is in custody since 23rd January, 2020, that is, more than three years and six

months, I am of the opinion that the learned trial court, in case the trial has not completed till date, would fix at least one schedule in a month consisting of three dates so that the trial of the case can be concluded within a reasonable period of time. With the aforesaid observations, CRR 2696 of 2022 is disposed of.

Pending application, if any, is consequently disposed of. All parties shall act on the server copy of this order duly downloaded from the official website of this Court. Urgent photostat certified copy of this order, if applied for, be supplied to the parties upon compliance of all requisite formalities.
