No.2 Pursuant to the order dated 26.09.2022 Mr. Arijit Ganguly, learned advocate appearing for the State has submitted a report of the Inspector-in-Charge, Barasat Women Police Station which encloses the written declaration as well as the statement recorded by the Inspectorin-Charge. The contents of the report, the statement and the declaration reflects that the de facto complainant/opposite party no.2 do not intend to proceed with Barasat Women Police Station Case No.102/2016 dated 16.12.2016 under Sections 498A of the Indian Penal Code. Having regard to the fact that the present case was out of matrimonial discord and there is a compromise in progress as stated by the complainant who is not interested in pursuing the present litigation, I am of the opinion that further continuance of Barasat Women Police

Staiton Case No. 102/2016 dated 16.12.2016 as also the charge-sheet submitted therein is unwarranted, as such, all further proceedings of Barasat Women Police Station Case No. 102/2016 dated 16.12.2016 (G.R. Case No.4986/2016) is hereby quashed.

Accordingly, the application being, CRAN 3 of 2022 which is treated as on day's list alongwith the revisional application being, C.R.R. 2230 of 2021 is allowed.

Pending applications, if any, are consequently disposed of. Report so submitted by learned advocate for the State be kept with the record.
