The petitioner claims to be a victim of digital fraud. Certain amount has been debited from the petitioner's bank account. The petitioner claims to have reported the incident immediately to the bank for taking necessary steps.

The petitioner alleges that no positive steps have been taken by the bank to redress her grievance. A detailed representation from the end of the petitioner is pending consideration before the State Bank of India, Beliaghata Branch.

Learned counsel for the State submits that investigation by the police in respect of the complaint lodged by the petitioner is in progress. Rs.10,00,000/- (Rupees ten lakh) has been recovered and has been refunded to the petitioner.

Without entering into the merits of the claim of

the petitioner, the instant writ petition is disposed of by directing the Branch Manager, State Bank of India, Beliaghata Branch to consider and dispose of the petitioner's representation in accordance with law and in line with the guidelines of the Reserve Bank of India, particularly the guidelines laid down in circular no.

DDR.NO.LEG.DC.78/09.07.005/2017-18 dated 6th July, 2017 after giving her reasonable opportunity of hearing to place documents in support of her stand by passing a reasoned order at the earliest, but positively within six weeks from the date of communication of this order. The reasoned order shall be communicated to the petitioner immediately thereafter.

Report filed by the State be circulated upon the learned counsel for the petitioner and the bank. 6.
