Mr. Anindya Sundar Das Ms. Suva Gayen Ms. Paramita Mondal Mr. Suman Halder ...for the petitioners Mr. Sumit Kumar Panja Mr. Sumit Roy ...for WBSETCL The petitioners have raised a grievance that the West Bengal State Electricity Transmission Company Limited (WBSETCL) has drawn high-tension cable wires over a plot of land owned by them. It is further submitted that a substantial portion of their land has been acquired for the installation of an electricity transmission tower.

Learned counsel appearing for the petitioners submit that, despite making representations before the concerned official of WBSETCL, their request for compensation has not yet been considered.

Learned counsel appearing for WBSETCL submits that the authority requires some additional time to consider the petitioners'

claim for compensation.

In view of the above, there is no justification for keeping this writ petition pending.

Accordingly, this writ petition is disposed of with liberty to the petitioners to submit a formal representation for compensation before the concerned Project Manager within a period of two weeks from the date of this order. If such a representation is submitted, the same shall be duly considered by the Project Manager within one month thereafter.

The Project Manager shall provide an opportunity of hearing to both the petitioners and a representative of WBSETCL and shall decide the matter in accordance with law. A reasoned order shall be passed and communicated to the petitioners forthwith.

Accordingly, WPA 16334 of 2025 is disposed of.

Urgent photostat certified copy of this order, if applied for, be supplied to the learned advocates for the parties on usual undertakings.
