The petitioner has passed his nursing course from an institute in the State of Karnataka. He got registration with the State Nursing Council of Karnataka. Thereafter, he applied for reciprocal registration before the West Bengal State Nursing Council. But, the same has not evoked any response.

Learned counsel appearing on behalf of the State submits that if any application has been made for reciprocal registration, the same will be considered in accordance with law.

The Indian Nursing Council is represented.

It appears that an application has been made for reciprocal registration by the petitioner with the West Bengal

Nursing Council.

In view of the above, let the respondent no.4 consider such application in accordance with law and as expeditiously as possible, preferably within a period of four weeks from the date of communication of this order. Within a week from such date, the result of such consideration shall be communicated to the petitioner.

With these observations, the writ petition is disposed of.
